Cumulus banks fill the lower half in pale blue, the sky behind them woven in fine vertical streaks like falling light. Above them a bird crosses in flat grey silhouette, wings spread wide enough to fill the whole upper field. The two halves hold the same moment at different distances, the sky as you'd photograph it, and the sky as you'd remember it afterward. The design appears on the front side. Ribbed cream edge, studio seal at lower corner.
Alexandra Onipko is an artist, designer and the founder of Onipko, a textile brand built on her original graphic work. Before Onipko, she trained as an architect and worked as an art director on animated films for major international brands. Her first hand-knitted throw in 2020 grew into a limited-edition collection of throws, tapestries and tablecloths, now found in homes around the world.
