Somewhere Where We Don't Belong
jacquard tapestry weave
A line of wind-bent trees runs along a low horizon, and everything between them and the viewer is water, field and light in flat bands — olive, mauve, a broad stripe of orange, a grey shore at the bottom edge. The far side is close enough to make out tree by tree and too far to reach. A distant shore, seen from the wrong side of the water.
